Ontario Public Library Week
Activities
We always enjoy the month of October as we present our patrons with even more reasons to visit us!
This year, we are featuring a contest “Win a stack of stories” ..We’ll feature a stack of books, you can guess the number of total of pages, that’s every page between the covers! The closest estimate wins the stack of books.
Lise will be going to all the schools to invite all class to the library. We have many activities planned to encourage everyone to celebrate Ontario Public library Week. We will have a "Get caught reading contest", "Bookmark contest", "Guess how many pages in the stack of books", "Guess how many candies in the dish".
Please join us for refreshments & attendance draws as we thank you for using the John Dixon Public Library.
We will have an Open House on Thursday October 23 2008, from 12 noon till 4:00 pm. Cst. Carolle Dionne will have information on hand for the Seniors covering Seniors Abuse such as Financial, Physical, and Neglect. Information on Fraud and Prevention Tips for Seniors at Home and on Streets will also be presented.
